About the Role

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the position is responsible for maximising revenue and profitability across both on and off premise channels throughout the CBD area. The position will focus on developing close working relationships with target customers, where you will look to understand their needs, while driving commercial win-win outcomes for all parties.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be confident developing promotions and negotiating trading terms and your knowledge or interest in wine and market trends will allow you to provide insights and solutions which add value.

This territory is a high opportunity territory that will give you exposure to large Pub Groups, leading on and off prem accounts and acts as the internal training ground for hungry reps looking to build into the national accounts team.

Duties

  • Strong sales and business development skills with the ability to drive commercial outcomes;
  • Previous experience in the wine and spirits, FMCG or broader liquor industry with specific on premise experience;
  • Strong territory planning and prioritising skills;
  • A confident, engaging and energetic style with strong relationship building skills;
  • Well-developed problem solving and negotiating skills;
  • Sound computer skills MS Office / CRMs; and
  • Self-motivated and able to work remotely with minimum of supervision.

Skills & Experience

In order to be successful in this role, you will be a current BDM, Territory Manager or Key Account Manager with proven experience within the On and Off Premise channels. Ideally you will have recent experience within the CBD precinct and be well versed in speaking with Sommeliers, Publicans and Store Owners alike.
