What will the role look like?

At Monitor Deloitte, Senior Managers are leaders within the practice - principally responsible for overall project delivery leadership and business development. Senior Managers are expected to possess deep industry knowledge and skill expertise such that they are viewed both internally and externally as “subject matter experts”. Additionally, Senior Managers also play an internal role in firm management, supporting practice-building initiatives and actively contributing to the practice’s distinct culture as organisational role models.

You are someone with:

  • Deep FS understanding and experience, including previous exposure to different functions within retail bank: risk, digital, technology, distribution, finance and people
  • Experience of delivering projects for Financial Services businesses gained through delivery of projects across areas such as strategy, innovation, productivity, and transformation design and delivery
  • Demonstrated strategy consulting experience gained from Tier 1 Consulting firm, strategy boutique or Financial institute
  • Exceptional problem solving, quantitative, analytical and financial modelling skills
  • Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build strong relationships with a range of clients
  • 7+ years of Strategy Consulting focusing on FS clients, of which, 4+ years leading, managing and mentoring teams and people

Specific Role Requirements

  • Completed relevant postgraduate qualification (MBA, CA, etc.)
  • Experienced in business development and building a practice
  • Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence
  • Ability to anticipate the long term impact of all decisions and take a broad approach to problem solving
  • Takes a lead role in delivering and managing consulting services to high growth organizations with a diverse team of Consultants
  • Create long term relationships at a senior client level (i.e., EGM, GM level)
  • Execute a client service plan on complex engagements working closely with Partners and Directors
  • Identify and lead business development opportunities
  • Achieve expertise in a specialisation and develop a strong reputation as a business advisor
  • Actively mentor and coach team members to their highest potential
  • Create a learning environment through leadership, participating in the development and delivery of industry training programs
