Engagement Officer and In-Work Support Officer (2 positions available)

My Pathway currently has two opportunities available in Doomadgee for an In-Work Support Officer and an Engagement Officer. These roles would ideally be filled by a couple however suitable individuals are also encouraged to apply for either vacant role.

 

In-Work Support Officer

Our In-Work Support Officer provides culturally appropriate in-work support for a variety of job seekers who are currently in employment. The role provides mentoring support to the job seeker and employer to deliver a solution focused support program to ensure job seekers remain in employment.

 

Engagement Officer

The Engagement Officer is responsible for delivering comprehensive case management, creating a pathway to sustainable employment for jobseekers. This involves addressing the job seekers non vocational barriers through referrals to health providers and identifying suitable work for the dole projects to develop work related skills.

 

What you’ll need to be considered:

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), consultation, negotiation and leadership and coaching skills
  • Exceptional understanding of the Community Development Program with the ability to understand and apply contractual requirements
  • Excellent knowledge of Indigenous culture and protocols with the ability to communicate and engage Indigenous communities
  • Technology literate including skills in using Windows based software, internet and email
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a strong team-based culture with a positive, clear outlook on high quality mentoring services
  • Ability to develop and implement mentoring plans and activities to generate engagement of job seekers
  • Ability to develop practical and forward-thinking solutions to problems arising in the course of implementing change
