The Administration Officer is the first point of contact for the Department for Environment and Water in the Murray Bridge Office. The Officer provides high quality customer services and contributes to the efficient and effective operation of the office. 

The role provides telephone and personal reception services, addresses or refers public enquiries, and provides visitor information. The Officer also provides support to internal staff including Executive Support to senior management and the region’s groups and committees, and coordinates a wide range of office functions, including the creation and maintenance of records in databases and iShare systems, cash-handling and processing, ordering and purchasing, and internal and external mail distribution.

Special Conditions

  • Some out of hours work, intrastate travel and occasional overnight absences.
  • Will be required to wear the appropriate uniform.
  • Will be required to participate in fire management and associated duties.

Requirements

  • A current driver's licence is essential.
  • Certificate in Business Administration or similar will be an advantage.
  • Experience with receipting cash or other revenue will be an advantage.
