Casual Community Cricket Officer - Far North Qld

Are you looking for an exciting, engaging and fulfilling casual job? Be part of the team that services grassroots cricket to unite and inspire the next generation of cricketers. We are looking for a flexible, diligent and dynamic Community Cricket Officer to be part of the Queensland Cricket Team.   

Our Community Cricket team is responsible for promoting and developing the game among young people within our diverse communities. The team is currently seeking several casual Community Cricket Officers for the upcoming cricket season. Community Cricket Officers are responsible for promoting and delivering cricket experiences to maximise participation and deliver fun experiences for children.

Key Responsibilities include: 

  • Engage with cricket clubs and the community to grow and foster cricket through Cricket Blast 
  • Engage with schools to promote Cricket Blast through various promotional opportunities 
  • Promoting cricket through fan engagement initiatives run by Cricket Australia/Queensland Cricket and their associated partners; 
  • Deliver Woolworths Cricket Blast Health and PE sessions to primary school-aged children; 
  • Attend and assist with Woolworths Cricket Blast school cup days; and
  • Encourage participants to remain involved in cricket in Queensland. 

Successful candidates must have: 

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills; 
  • An ability to create a culture that is inclusive and engaging for all participants; 
  • Ability to successfully manage programs and deliver best practice; 
  • Highly personable and customer service focused; and 
  • Ideally, a passion for cricket and an understanding of community participation opportunities, including the cricket pathway.

Essential Requirements: 

  • Current senior first aid and CPR certificate; 
  • Blue card for working with children (or eligibility). 

The role is a true casual role with no guarantee of ongoing employment. Short shifts available, which may be on any day of the week, during or after school hours.
