Leading Worker Reserve Maintenance

The City of Salisbury is recognised as a progressive and innovative Council, particularly renowned for its visionary work, leading the way in environmental initiatives.

Located within Council’s Field Services Division, this position contributes to the high levels of service provided to Salisbury residents through the maintenance of Council’s reserves, sportsgrounds and landscape environments.

The position is responsible for maintaining Council property consisting of varying size parks throughout the City of Salisbury.

You will need to demonstrate the ability to successfully undertake the following.

  • To lead the Reserve Maintenance Team in providing effective and efficient landscape maintenance services that meet service standards.
  • Operation of plant and equipment used in association with duties undertaken in an efficient, safe and effective manner.
  • To effectively lead and manage the team through programming and scheduling of resources, accurate record keeping, and application of Council’s policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate, program and schedule the day to day work activities of the Reserve Maintenance East team using the Councils software management system.
  • Ensure work groups complete work programs to standard in the most cost effective and safe manner possible including complying with policy, procedures and work directions.
