About the role

The Employment Pathways Coordinator contributes to the achievement of HunterNet Group Training’s strategic objectives by developing and delivering recruitment activities across all facets of the organisation. This includes working with the Workforce Development Officer’s to attract and select talent and by promoting HNGT Limited’s employer brand to relevant markets, schools and industry, ensuring the organisation is recognised as an employer of choice.

About you

You will be someone who is passionate about sourcing and attracting the best candidates in the area and be comfortable running an end to end recruitment process. You have the ability to proactively create and maintain relationships with external stakeholders. You will have great communication skills and be able to demonstrate this through engaging local schools, and attending networking events to promote HNGT.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide support to the Workforce Development Officers in the recruitment of apprentices and trainees for host employers
  • Place job advertisements for vacancies on various channels (such as HNGT website, Seek, UON CareerHub) as requested by Workforce Development Officers
  • Use RecruitOnline to coordinate recruitment activities, including maintaining up-to-date notes on candidate profiles
  • Ensure proactive networking with external stakeholders
  • Liaise with Management in the creation of Pre-Vocational training needs for the business
  • Attend meetings where required, including HunterNet Cooperative monthly general meetings
  • Upholding responsibility to inform duty holders and document when incidents have occurred or hazards are raised

You must have:

  • Demonstrated experience working in a professional environment, including working closely with a small team
  • Knowledge of standard business software and social media platforms, including capability and experience in Microsoft Office applications, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
  • Understanding of core business policies and practices, including Work Health & Safety (WHS), Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Bullying and Harassment
  • Competent in internet-based research, and use of social media for business purposes
  • Tertiary (Bachelor’s degree) qualification in Human Resources Management, or other business related fields
  • Demonstrated capability in all Core Competencies linked to position
