Laboratory Technician

PROGRAMMED SKILLED WORKFORCE currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Laboratory Technician


Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for performing a variety of microbiological, chemical and physical tests on raw materials and finished products to ensure that all products meet the relevant specification.


Your key responsibilities will include:


• Collection & testing of samples
• Factory environmental monitoring activities
• Initiating appropriate corrective action
• Documentation & data entry, including the use of SAP and log sheets
• Promoting Safety, Quality and Process within the business, including having a strict adherence to all OH&S and Food Safety guidelines.


To be successful in this role, relevant tertiary qualifications are essential.


You will have the following:


• Cert IV in Lab Techniques or Food Technology (Minimum)
• A sound knowledge of good Laboratory Practices
• Strong awareness of the principles & practices of Food Safety and OH&S
• The ability to operate a range of laboratory equipment
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively relate and communicate to people at all levels of the business
