Media Assistant

Hearts & Science background

Hearts & Science is a full-service data driven marketing and communications agency, and the third global agency pillar of the Omnicom Media Group sitting alongside PHD & OMD.  Launched in New York in 2016, after a successful appointment by Proctor & Gamble and AT&T shortly thereafter.  Since the launch, Hearts has continued to grow, innovate and deliver, extending its network to nineteen markets around the world, including London, Tokyo, Toronto and Dubai.  Hearts officially launched in Australia in April 2019.

While Hearts is a new brand in Australia, it's launch springboards from the well credentialled and successful m2m brand.  m2m was retired at the end of March 2019 and transitioned into Hearts and Science, and in turn brought with it a team of circa 60 people in Sydney and clients such as Hyundai, Audible and Macquarie Bank.  m2m has always had a strong people focus; top of the Media i results for the past 2 surveys, very low churn and a significant investment in training and development.

At Hearts, we're defining the future of media, using data to sharpen our understanding of consumers and the media's impact on business outcomes. This approach requires rethinking traditional ways of working, questioning everything and using data and technology to empower smarter decisions, to ultimately deliver better business results, not just cost savings.

What we are looking for?

We are looking for Media Assistants to work across a new & exciting piece of business. You will be responsible for: 

  • Quickly developing a thorough understanding of basic media concepts, terminology, media maths, media trading and execution of key media tools/platforms
  • Being accountable for the day to day account management and implementation of campaigns
  • Being the support contact for client/media liaison on day to day matters
  • Administrative services such as arrangement of meetings, preparation of WIPs, compilation of project reports
  • Checking booking confirmations and pre-times, campaign monitoring, post analysis matching and reporting under the guidance of your direct manager
  • Media Campaign Delivery tracking (all communication channels)
  • Providing assistance to the team during invoicing and reconciliation, financial administration
  • Generate creative ideas within role accountabilities (process improvements etc.) and actively contribute to idea generation and optimisation 

Whilst full training for the role will be provided, the successful candidate requires the below skills:

  • Completion of a tertiary qualification in Advertising/Business/Commerce/ Communication/ Marketing or similar and a passion for media
  • Confident and capable with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong numerical skills and high attention to detail
  • Takes initiative and is an enthusiastic learner
  • Works effectively as part of a team
