Patient Care Assistant

Greenslopes Private Hospital

We are seeking experienced Patient Care Assistants to join our Day Oncology and Post-operative Cardiac Vascular and Cardiothoracic departments at Greenslopes Private Hospital in Brisbane.

Permanent part-time roles (15.2 hours per fortnight and 64 hours per fortnight) are available.

  

About the Role

We are seeking Patient Care Assistants to join our professional and dynamic team to provide nursing and supportive care to patients and their families. In this role you will be assisting the clinical team, including Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses, in the provision of services and care for patients. Specifically, you will be supporting the care of patients in the admission and recovery stages of their surgical procedures. This can involve mobility support, providing meals and making them feel comfortable post-surgery.

 

About You

  • Certificate III in Health Service Assistance
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
  • High level of interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively according to directions
  • High level of customer service and excellent time management skills
  • Understanding of infection control principles
