There’s a certain feeling you get from working at Monash University. It’s the feeling that you’re a part of something special. Something significant. And that’s because you’re not just starting your career, or taking on a bigger challenge. You’re making a real contribution – surrounded by energetic, inspiring people who are driven to make a difference as well. Monash is a place where you’ll be able to develop your career in exciting, sometimes unexpected ways – putting you in the best possible position for a rewarding future.

The Opportunity

Monash Residential Services is seeking an enthusiastic Admissions Officer to coordinate all daily operational aspects of student admissions within a residential environment. This diverse role includes duties such as:

  • Coordinating applications for accommodation and allocations/bookings for residency
  • Processing charges for accommodation and managing students’ accommodation accounts and outstanding debts
  • Answering phone and email enquiries relating to accommodation
  • Analysing data to prepare reports

In this role, you will act as a key liaison point and source of advice in relation to Monash Residential Services admissions topics and you will need to have an aptitude for numbers, attention to detail, high-level data processing skills and outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Ideally, we are seeking someone with experience in accounts receivables and an enthusiasm for working with numerical and personal data, as well as high-level skills in reporting and data analysis. Applicants with experience working within a similar environment such as University accommodation or other large multi-site accommodation complexes will be highly regarded.

If this position sounds like your perfect next challenge, we want to hear from you! To apply, simply submit your CV along with a cover letter which addresses the Key Selection Criteria contained within the attached Position Description. Please refer to “How to apply for Monash Jobs”.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.

At Monash University, we are committed to being a Child Safe organisation. This position will require the incumbent to hold a valid Working with Children Check.

Possession of a current Victorian Drivers Licence is also desirable.
