Mine SIte FIFO Laboratory Technician

About the Position
ALS Geochemistry is now looking for an experienced Laboratory Technician who would like an opportunity to use their current skills on our Mine Site Laboratory.
This role is a FIFO role on a two week on, one week off roster and based out of Perth.  Remuneration for this position will be in line with the requirements of a mine-site position.  The successful candidate will need to provide a current police clearance as well as pass a pre-employment medical. 
This position is suitable for someone with mine site experience, knowledge of AAS and previous experience with QA/QC and reporting of results. Full training will be provided to the successful candidate, and offers the opportunity for career development.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Filter pressing, racking, sorting, drying and pulverising samples in preparation for analysis.
  • Aqua Regia, solution and carbon analysis.
  • Speciality metallurgy tests, including titrations
  • Developing an in-depth knowledge of all processes and following SOPs
  • Following strict workplace HSE rules in regards to your safety and safety of others
