About the Role
  • Provision of safe client care
  • Contribute to collecting accurate health care information and maintaining accurate health care documentation as required
  • Communicate effectively with clients and their carers and other health care team members in accordance with appropriate protocol
  • To maintain and promote a professional standard evidenced by ethical nursing practice, adherence to the policies and procedures of the Nursing and Midwifery Service, NBMLHD and the appropriate legislation and statutory regulations
  • To effectively manage resources relevant to the service
  • The provision of care activities to clients in accordance with the nursing care plan and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse within the scope of practice of an Enrolled Nurse specific to service need

Selection Criteria to be addressed: 

  1. Current Registration Division 2 (without notation) - Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  2. Recent clinical experience and demonstrated skill in nursing care of clients with chronic conditions and/or complex care needs with a focus on wound care
  3. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
  4. Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide person centred care
  5. Demonstrated effective communication skills – written and verbal
  6. Experience working in a multidisciplinary team
  7. Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to utilise information technology systems within a variety of applications (e.g. Cerner) and commitment to undertake training in electronic health record systems as required
  8. Current NSW State driver's licence (including P1 or above) and willingness to use for work purposes. This may include driving long distances across the LHD
