An exciting opportunity currently exists for a Kitchen Administrator to join our fast paced, professional fun team at Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Kitchen Administrator is responsible for providing a complete administrative service to the Executive Chef and as required to other PCEC and Spotless kitchen team members.  

Based at The Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre the successful candidate will be a real ‘People Person’ who enjoys a pressured environment and who is able to develop and maintaining strong rapport with staff.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain on a daily basis a detailed and concise file of kitchen work orders.
  • Perform clerical duties for the Executive Chef and other Senior Chefs as required including correspondence, emails etc. 
  • Promote the smooth running of the kitchen, carrying out other reasonable tasks as required by Executive Chef.
  • Receive visitors and liaise with all internal and external customers, stakeholders and contacts to arrange meetings.
  • Coordinate meetings inclusive of agenda distribution, minute taking and document preparation if required.
  • Coordinate and prepare reports and presentations.
  • Establish and maintain confidential office filing systems.
  • Prepare internal stationery requisitions for department when stocks are required.
  • Reconcile the Executive Chefs credit card.
  • Assist with HR and safety related tasks where required.

     Key attributes

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Administrative role.
  • Excellent customer service & problem solving skills – internal and external clients
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Excel and Word
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • A current Driving Licence would be advantageous.
  • Previous hospitality experience/knowledge is desirable.
