Your new company is a dynamic, growing & innovative plumbing maintenance and civil works company.They operate commercially and are growing their finance team given their recent success and growth in the market. They are based in Ivanhoe and are going from strength to strength in their market.


Your new role
Reporting directly to the Company Accountant, your main duties and responsibilities will be:


Accounts Payable; weekly supplier payments, processing expense claims, ensuring sign off for each invoice is obtained

  • Accounts Receivable; invoicing, monitoring the weekly aged debtors, creating payment plans with clients
  • Reconciliations; bank recs, general ledger recs
  • Preparation and positing of journals
  • Month end reporting & procedures
  • Fixed asset register maintainance
  • General ledger / accounts management
  • All ATO compliance
  • Data input
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Asset management, including leases & HP's
  • Job costing / reporting
  • Job forecasting
  • Work in Progress
  • Management of insurances
  • All bank loans, guarantees, & other facilities
  • Payroll of employees and subcontractors
  • Other employer related obligations



What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in this role, you must have an educational background in accounting/finance and hands on experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Month-End duties. You must have excellent time management and communication skills and have full working rights in Australia. Experience with the XERO system would be highly advantageous.
