Processing Technician

• Fixed term part time until June 2020 - 20 to 22.8hrs a week
• Must be available to work variable shifts on a rotating roster
• Located in Alexandria, NSW


One in three Australians will need blood in their lifetime. At the Australian Red Cross Blood Service, we’re entrusted with collecting, processing and delivering this vital supply. We also provide a range of other services to the healthcare sector related to transplantation and immunogenetics, testing, consulting, education and research. Within a close-knit and professional team, you will be responsible for performing key processing activities with the Processing team to support the distribution of safe blood and blood products. Your challenge is to ensure that you effectively maintain the quality, safety and regulatory requirements within a standard operating environment.

You will have:

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment within diverse industries (desirable)
• Experience with lean manufacturing processes (desirable)
• An outstanding team player who supports the achievement of shared manufacturing goals
• Availability to work in a flexible roster working variable shifts

You will be:

• Motivated by undertaking routine work following established procedures and getting it right the first time
• Passionate about participating in continuous improvement activities
• Motivated to achieve daily targets
• Committed to quality and safety
