My client is a leading global retail group with a footprint in most major cities around the world. Currently experiencing significant growth in the Australian market, they are looking to bolster their current team with a Junior Building Services Engineer.

Description

Reporting into the Director of Construction, you will be takes with the following duties:

  • Development of new concepts for technical building services
  • Assisting with the strategic direction of the department
  • Sustainability and compliance
  • Initiation of new buildings
  • Contractor management for project work
  • Quality assessments
  • Negotiations with manufactures and suppliers for technical requirements
  • Stakeholder engagement

Profile

To be considered for the role, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:

  • 3 + years experience in a similar field
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Hydraulic, Mechanical or Refrigeration)
  • A high degree of competency in the application of relevant Australian Standards, Building Codes, Essential Services
  • Regulations and other statutory, regulatory and OH&S legislation.
  • Strong technical project/ contract management knowledge, experience and skills.
  • Ability to understand & interpret technical specifications and CAD plans.
  • Excellent communication and relationship skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Solutions oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex range of tasks across a number of projects at the one time.
  • Understand concepts in Environmental sustainability and energy management.
  • Appropriate computer skills.
