State Sales Manager - Direct Sales / B2B / Tier 1 Energy Retailer

Chameleon Customer Contact is a contact & outsourcing specialist boasting a headcount of over 1000 employees focusing on retail & event promotions, B2B, D2D, merchandising & contact centre solutions in VIC, TAS, WA, NT, QLD, NSW, SA, ACT & NZ (Auckland, Hamilton, Christchurch, Dunedin & Wellington).

This exciting opportunity is available for a talented and experienced sales management professional to be part of the team taking CCC through a steep growth trajectory.

This State Sales Manager role will ensure no two-days are the same. Your key responsibilities will include general sales, people & operational management on behalf of our client who are a leading Tier 1 Energy retailer within the SME market. Managing a field sales team of 25 employees across QLD you will report into the National Sales Manager and play a key role in developing this new campaign within the QLD market whilst gaining exposure to the EGM (Aust. and NZ) and Chameleon's Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Workforce management across the QLD market (25+ FTE)
  • Learning & development and sales training facilitation and performance optimisation
  • Hardware, facilities management
  • Client management
  • Compliance & quality management
  • Sales, KPI & performance management
  • Quality assurance management
  • High level reporting
    • Performance
    • Staffing levels
    • Sales per hour and revenue per hour performance
    • Complaints and compliance
  • HR and Recruitment
    • Employee training, engagement and development
    • Overseeing on-boarding and off-boarding
    • Health and safety
    • Weekly newsletter to all staff and key stakeholders
  • On field training & development of Sales agents
    • Training and assessments
    • Adherence to industry codes of conduct, laws and bylaws
    • Breach investigations
    • National training and communications

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following traits and skills:

  • Previous experience in a sales and operational management role
  • The ability to prioritize and manage time effectively is essential
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a diverse range of people and at different levels – this role is client facing
  • Flexible, solution-oriented and impact driven
  • Commercial acumen
  • Willingness to be hands on
  • A positive and professional manner who supports an open-door policy
  • Sales training methodology expertise
