Marketing and Communications Manager

About this Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and passionate marketing professional responsible for both the strategic and day to day operations of the businesses’ marketing function.

This newly created, full time position, reports to the CEO and will work closely with the Leadership and Sales teams to develop, establish and implement marketing strategies to meet the Groups vision, mission and values. 

About the Lionel Samson Sadleirs Group

Founded in 1829, by two brothers arriving on the second settlement vessel into Fremantle, the Lionel Samson Sadleirs Group has grown to deliver exceptional customer service across our four main organisational Divisions – Sadleirs Logistics, Sadleirs Global Logistics, Sadleirs Packaging and Plantagenet Winery.

Key Duties

  • Work hand in hand with other managers to align marketing programs;
  • Develop, implement and manage annual plans and actions to draw customers into the business and improve the company’s competitive position through business growth and development;
  • Manage information and provide market analysis, behaviour, trends, and stay informed of competitors within the industry;
  • Identify the selection and analysis of target markets, attracting, retaining and growing customer relationships and communicating our superior value and differentiation to customers;
  • Plan, develop and execute Sadleirs marketing and advertising plans and initiatives;
  • Measure the success of marketing campaigns across the Group;
  • Build brand awareness and ensure that all communications align with the brand;
  • Review tenders, proposals, presentations and compliancy submissions to ensure alignment of the Group’s strategy and branding;
  • Review and develop public relations processes, media releases and internal and external communication;
  • Develop and implement a sponsorship strategy that raises the profile and reputation of Sadleirs Group; and
  • Promote our safety culture and ensure all work is performed in a safe manner.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Marketing and/or Communications;
  • Experience managing small teams and the desire to take accountability for delivering tangible results;
  • Commercially astute with strong analytical skills and the ability to convert data into insights;
  • Strong commercial focus;
  • Strategic thinker with high level of written and verbal communication skills;
  • Experience in a similar role is essential;
  • Change management experience; and
  • High level of customer service, a friendly and approachable personality and a team player.
