Role Overview:
  • You will provide focused psychological strategies tailored to meet the individual needs of adults aged 18-65 years within a community based mental health care setting (funded through the Better Access to Mental Health Initiative - Medicare).
  • Work within a passionate, fun and supportive multidisciplinary team
  • Conduct mental health assessments, including completion of mental state examination, case formulations, relapse prevention plans and individual treatment planning
  • Provision of risk assessments and development and implementation of appropriate crisis response and safety plans
  • Work with adults, their families/significant others and relevant service systems to respond appropriately to their mental health and developmental needs

Requirements:
  • Must possess tertiary level education in Psychology and have full AHPRA registration 
  • Registered as an eligible provider with Medicare (or eligible for full registration)
  • Sound knowledge of and demonstrated experience in clinical practice and therapeutic interventions within the mental health field, ideally with adults experiencing mental health disorders
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high quality assessment and evidence-based psychological interventions, within a stress-vulnerability and recovery framework for adults.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of mental health disorders and the impact this has on the family/significant others
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
