Youth Worker - Casual Shift Work (Western Sydney)

ProCare Australia is currently seeking experienced Youth Workers in various Out of Home Care services by providing care and support to young people within the Campbeltown and Greater Western Sydney area including Liverpool, Blacktown, Campbeltown and Blue Mountains.

  • You will be responsible for providing a safe and secure home like environment for young people whose lives have been impacted by trauma.
  • Due to the nature of this role you will have exposure to youths who can display complex and challenging behaviors, who have been affected by alcohol or drug use, who have mental health conditions and who have been in contact with the juvenile justice system. 

 

To be Successful:

  • Minimum Diploma level qualification in Youth Work/Community Services or related field with demonstrated youth work experience
  • Demonstrated reporting skills and computer literacy
  • Demonstrated knowledge and awareness of trauma and attachment frameworks and ability to implement these in a residential setting
  • Current Working With Children Check
  • National Police Check

 

Desirable however not mandatory:

  • Youth Mental Health First Aid
  • Current First  Aid Certificate
