Travel Manager

Show Group Pty Ltd is a leading travel management specialist and freight logistics organisation providing services to the entertainment, film, arts, stage, screen, fashion, corporate and sporting industries. The focus of the Travel Manager role lies in the support and development that you provide to your team members and client base, ensuring that service standards are maintained given this is the core of our business.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure professional service and consultative approach is maintained by the team
  • Sourcing, supervising and mentoring staff
  • Consulting on small portfolio as well as back-up to support team members during their absence
  • Client relations to include problem solving, operational overview, and implementing new clients
  • Provide your expertise on localised matters that may impact on our success and ensure peer to peer learning and knowledge sharing
  • Ensure you oversee the effective rostering of the team, incorporating leave, both planned and unplanned
  • Maintaining key financial performance targets
  • Develop and implement profitable strategies

Skills and Experience Required

  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring ability (ie. minimum two years experience managing a team)
  • Appropriate domestic and international travel qualifications and knowledge (ie. minimum five years travel industry experience
  • Knowledge of GDS systems - Sabre system will be a bonus
  • Hands-on skills relating to group travel movements
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good written and oral communication skills
