Account Manager - Based in Port Moresby, PNG

The Opportunity

Are you looking for the next opportunity to step outside the square, gain valuable experience to advance and develop your career within Aon?
Our rapidly-growing Papua New Guinea business is currently seeking an experienced, professional and consultative broker to join its team in the critical role of Client Manager.

This role is responsible for executing the business strategy, providing leadership to the team and driving results to achieve retention and new business targets.

Performing in this exciting role you will be:

  • Servicing an existing commercial and corporate portfolio across a number of industry sectors, retaining the accounts through providing impeccable service standards
  • Critically analysing and developing product, solutions and service requirements
  • Building relationships and securing new business
  • Pro-active marketing to prospects
  • Mentoring team members and leading by example to promote the right culture

To be successful in this role you will need proven experience:
  • Extensive experience within the General Insurance broking sector
  • Proven mid-market or corporate client engagement capabilities
  • First-class communication, presentation, negotiating and influencing skills
  • Strong technical understanding of a broad range of Commercial Insurance products
  • Highly self-motivated and able to take ownership and accountability for development and execution of relationships
  • A keen entrepreneurial and inquisitive spirit to motivate you to explore this exciting overseas opportunity

Based in the capital, Port Moresby, you will be working closely with the CEO of the PNG Business, other senior ex-pat brokers and the wider team. This is a great role to gain visibility and hold true leadership responsibilities over a roughly 3 year period before progressing your career in Australia (or elsewhere).
