ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE

Are you a fast paced and experienced Business Support Officer with outstanding energy and work ethics? Do you have experience working within a government department and are eager for your next role?

We are currently sourcing enthusiastic and experienced Business Support Officers to commence various fast paced and exciting contracts with high profile State and Federal Government Departments. At the AO4 level, these roles have a rate of $45.09/h + Super and are commencing ASAP in Brisbane CBD!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide responsive administrative support in finance, human resources, correspondence management, travel bookings and general administrative support.
  • Support senior officers by arranging meetings / functions, attendees, catering, venues and secretariat support.
  • Assist in the preparation of correspondence, submissions and briefing notes
  • Use systems to process and check on financial, human resources, records and procurement information.
  • Professionally field, direct and respond to incoming calls and requests.
  • As directed monitor and report on the status of various processes for which senior manager(s) is/are responsible.
  • Assisting with the recruitment process of contractors by creating and managing work orders, job postings in the departments external workforce management system for Contractors
  • Reconciliation of cost centres, order numbers and preparation of monthly client billing reports for core services

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Must have high attention to detail
  • Must have strong understanding, value and record keeping practices
  • Sound knowledge of contemporary human resource management issues such as workplace health & safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination.
  • Experience in a similar role within a Government department or large organisation
  • Experience in a health department/field will be highly regarded
