Are you passionate about Industrial Relations and providing advice, support whilst developing strategy? Could your subject matter expertise guide and support leaders of our business as we continue to grow?

Monadelphous is a leading Australian engineering group providing construction, maintenance and industrial services to the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors. We are involved in some of Australia’s biggest and most complex projects and facilities, reflecting our position as a leader in our chosen markets.

As our new IR Advisor you are playing a vital role in providing the Monadelphous leadership team with the aforementioned advice, support and assistance across our various divisions. This role will be assisting in maintaining and efficiently utilising the company’s human resources and will include involvement in specific Group IR programs.

So, what will you be doing?

  • Leading and coordinating delivery of IR/ER services across Divisions enabling workplace efficiency gains
  • Utilising your knowledge of negotiation and bargaining strategies / tactics combined with your ability to review and interpret industrial instruments
  • Developing and implementing ER/IR management plans, initiatives, projects and/or new internal systems, policies and procedures
  • Monitoring and responding to changes in legislation, regulations and policies and interpreting and applying relevant Employee Relations legislation (Fair Work Act etc.) with the ability to investigate and negotiate settlement of grievances or disputes (disciplinary action or terminations)
  • Ensuring all people processes and activities align with relevant legislation and company policy.

Who are we looking for?

  • Well-developed communication skills combined with the capacity to forge strong working relationships both with internal and external partners
  • Whilst a Bachelor of Human Resources Management/Industrial Relations, or a related field would be viewed favourably, cultural fit is also key to us so we are looking for someone who wishes to join an internal IR team and bring a positive approach to any challenges faced through this period of growth
  • Someone who thrives on deadlines, remains focused on deliverables and ideally can bring with them proven experience from within the construction / engineering / resources sector

Our aforementioned culture is underpinned by our core values of safety and well-being, integrity, achievement, teamwork and loyalty which are embedded in our people and therefore a significant aspect of our competitive advantage. Moreover, as part of our team, you’ll automatically join our tailor-made ‘Benefits with Us’ program which gives you access to an extensive range of discounts within retail, dining, accommodation, entertainment, travel and more.

As an equal opportunity employer, we encourage and promote diversity and inclusion, and welcome applications from all backgrounds.

So, if the above sounds like you and you wish to join a team you can be proud of, don’t delay and apply now!
