Warehouse and Logistics Manager

About the role

Reporting to the General Manager Operations, this role will be responsible for shaping and influencing the strategic operation of the Warehouse team. You will provide a calculated layer to the overall Warehouse function to ensure operations are aligned with the Company’s direction.

Key responsibilities of the role will be:

  • Ensuring the correct utilisation of warehouse systems and technology to drive efficiency;
  • Monitoring quality, quantity, finances and efficiency of warehousing and the movement of goods;
  • Liaising and negotiating with suppliers, retailers and consumers;
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to improve supply chain efficiency and integrate logistics throughout the business;
  • Ensuring appropriate policies, procedures and organisational structures are in place;
  • Applying continuous improvement practices;
  • Driving the business to deliver maximum financial returns;
  • Proactively and continuously work to identify opportunities and propose detailed plans to improve the overall operations of the business; and
  • Contributing to and creating business development opportunities to gain new contracts through liaising with customers and suppliers.

About you

To be successful in this role you will be tenacious and ambitious, striving to achieve a strong output and over achieving results for the Company.

Additionally, you will have:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Warehouse and Logistics Management, preferably within an FMCG environment;
  • Qualifications in Logistics or Warehouse Management will be highly regarded;
  • Strong determination to succeed and deliver;
  • Proven analytical and effective decision making skills;
  • Critical thinking and complex problem solving skills;
  • Strong organisational skills, combined with the ability to multi-task and handle various matters at the same time;
  • Exceptional communication with the ability to build rapport and credibility quickly across a various stakeholder groups;
  • The ability to adopt a highly agile approach to their work practice;
  • Ability to multi-task with competing priorities; and
  • Independent and autonomous self-starter.
