Callidus Process Solutions corporate headquarters is in Balcatta, Western Australia supporting a growing network of workshops in Adelaide, Darwin, Karratha, Brisbane, New Caledonia, Madagascar and the Philippines (Manila). We also have a specialised welding division Callidus Welding Solutions.

Due to Callidus's growth throughout its Australian Operations, fantastic opportunities have become available for proactive and enthusiastic  Valve Technicians to support our busy Workshop team based in Balcatta for an immediate start. Your previous experience in a similar industry working in both a workshop & onsite environment and consideration will also be given to mechanical trade candidates who can demonstrate high technical competence or extensive component rebuild experience. 

This position will report to the Workshop Team Leader and will be responsible for:

  • Medium and Heavy Mechanical fitting duties
  • Strip, assess, re-build and complete in depth inspection reports for all types of valves including ball, gates, globes, butterfly, control, PSV in both workshop and site based environments
  • Carryout various types of pressure testing
  • Close tolerance and precision fitting
  • Understand bolt torque requirements
  • Comply with Quality System Policies, Procedures and Documentation Requirements
  • Other General Fitting and Quality Duties in workshop and/or site environment as required
  •  

The Successful Candidate will ideally have:

  • Trade Qualifications in Fitting or Similar Mechanical Field.
  • Previous experience with valves is preferred but not essential.
  • Previous experience in Manual Machining would be beneficial
  • Proven Mechanical Aptitude and Capability to deliver Quality Work.
  • Experience in Process Engineering environment, workshop, or on-site.
  • High regard for working safely and Environmentally Responsibility.
  • Understanding of JSA's, Safety Work Plans and required use of PPE.
  • Ability to work in an adaptable team and use own initiative.
  • Good problem solving skills and ability to make sound decisions.
  • Track Record of being attentive to accuracy and detail in their work
