About the role

 

We are looking for an experienced engineer with an analytical mindset to join our rapidly growing business, and work across a range of exciting defence projects.  The candidate should possess a high degree of independence and motivation, excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills, and be capable of learning new concepts quickly.

Candidates with an interest in physics, mathematics and/or software are strongly advised to apply.  The successful applicant will supplement an existing high-performing software development team.

Candidates will require a Bachelor degree in software/computer systems engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, information technology, or related fields. 

 

Skills and experience

 

Candidates must have Australian citizenship and either hold or be willing to progress a Defence security clearance. In applying for this position, candidates are requested to address the criteria below.

Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelor degree in software/computer systems engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, information technology, or related fields;
  • Matlab / Simulink Modelling experience;
  • Good understanding of Electronic Warfare principles;
  • Experience or interest in Defence projects; and
  • Strong interpersonal communication and reporting writing skills.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Currently holds an NV1 Defence Security Clearance;
  • Experience or knowledge of Bayesian modelling;
  • Experience in one or more software programming languages; and
  • Experience in Verification and Validation (V&V) activities.
