What we're after:
Red Gum BBQ is situated on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula and due to our growth and future plans we require an outstanding Accounts & Payroll Officer that has a passion for organisation and standardisation, but also explores how the role can provide additional value to the business now and into the future.
Reporting to the company CFO, this is a part time role – between 20-30 hours at commencement but with growth expectations over year. There is some flexibility in days and times. Applicants should provide details of their availability and preferences.
Preferably a minimum of 3 years experience in an Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and/or Bookkeeping role.
Experience in hospitality or service industry an advantage.
While not a prerequisite, relevant qualifications would be an advantage (eg: Cert 4 in Financial Services, Accounting and Bookkeeping, Registered BAS Agent, etc)
Manage all supplier relationships and communications in a manner consistent with company ethos.
Develop and maintain efficiencies in supplier communications in order to improve accuracy, timeliness and positive outcomes.
Ensure all supplier invoices, statements and receipts are entered into relevant programs.
Develop company invoices for function, catering and purchases and ensure communications to relevant departments is consistent and accurate.
Complete all credit applications, negotiate terms and provide relationship agreements.
Bank account and credit card reconciliations
Payroll & Employees
Manage and process weekly Payroll (including new entrants and exits) in an accurate, efficient, courteous and proactive manner
Preparation and remittance of PAYG, Payroll Tax, Superannuation and Workcover and relevant monthly, quarterly & year-end payroll statements
Proactively providing support to staff on financial onboarding, pay and leave inquiries, compliance questions and liaise with relevant specialists to provide responses.
Maintain current knowledge of relevant award and conditions and general HR legislative requirements to ensure compliance
Maintain uniform records.
Maintain purchase order processes across business.
Review and investigate missing paperwork items.
Maintain petty cash processes, tils, floats and review takings documents and investigate discrepancies.
Ensure all new products are accurately entered into POS system and integrated with Xero.

Great attention to detail
Excellent numeracy, organisational and communication skills
A high degree of professionalism and discretion in the handling of confidential and commercially sensitive information
Intermediate to Advanced Excel and Word skills
Xero and Deputy Time & Attendance experience looked upon favourably
