The product team at Entegy is the foundation of who we are. Built from the ground up in Brisbane, we work with some of the world's biggest events, exhibitions, festivals, venues and companies.

Our tech stack currently includes C#, ASP.NET & Core, Vue, PHP (all on AWS) - with Java, Objective-C and most recently Flutter in the mobile arm. Going forward we are consolidating this stack to C# with .NET Core with Vue front ends running on Docker/Linux containers in AWS for web, and Flutter x-platform for mobile apps.

The opportunity

We’re looking for an ambitious mid-level .NET developer to join our product team working on and adding to our existing suite of event technology. You will take ownership of solidifying and expanding our product platform working within our product team to delight our customers with great software.

The ideal candidate:

  • Knows how to plan, prototype, build, test, deploy and maintain high-quality software

  • Uses modern, idiomatic C# including IoC/DI techniques to facilitate testability

  • Is confident building reactive, component-based UIs with Vue (or similar)

  • Understands how to methodically test a system, both automated and manually

  • Can confidently take a great idea and deliver high-quality software within a set timeframe

  • Knows when and with whom to communicate progress and updates

  • Is dedicated to self-improvement and learning


Reporting to the Development Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Taking product concepts from idea through to production

  • Maintaining and improving existing systems

  • Sustaining a high level of quality control and documentation

  • Ensuring work is “done done” and delivered ahead of time


About you

  • You love working in a team - no room for lone wolves

  • You love doing things correctly - high attention to detail; methodical testing

  • You love learning new things - willing and able to switch stacks when required

  • You love getting things done - ambitious, driven and diligent

  • 4 - 6 years development experience, preferably across the full stack, and preferably in multiple workplaces

  • You have the following skills:


Technical capability required:

  • C# and ASP.NET

  • General web development skills (HTTP/S, DNS, the Internet, browsers, APIs, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.)

  • Git (preferably command line)

  • Understanding of unit testing

  • Understanding of serverless architecture


Bonus skills:

  • Formal testing knowledge/experience

  • Vue-specific experience

  • Mobile experience (Android, iOS and/or Flutter)

  • Experience with AWS
