About the business
Who We Are:
Your Side Australia is a leading provider of support services for older people, people living with disability, mental health, and carers throughout Sydney. Established 30 years ago, we've kept our commitment to give people greater choice and to enhance their independence and wellbeing.
Your Side is a one stop shop to arrange the care and support that allows people and families to get on with living a good life.
Your Side is an equal opportunity employer, and proudly employs people with disabilities.
About the role
Your Side has grown significantly since we launched Total Care in 2017. We are ready to go to the next level, and are looking for someone to play a critical role to support our Executive to carry out our growth plans.
As Strategic Research and Grants Writer, you will carry out research into the sector, including identifying and assessing possible partners and merger opportunities. You will analyse market trends and new models, particularly in aged care and disability. You will work closely with the CEO and the Director, Business Growth, presenting them with clear, well evidenced recommendations.
You will also take the lead on writing small grant applications, and contribute to larger tender opportunities.
Benefits and perks
- Work 3 days a week, from our friendly Chatswood office with flexible options to work at home
- Join a passionate team that cares about our customers
- Access salary packaging that makes your wage go further
Skills and experience
You understand the issues facing the disability and aged care sectors, including marketisation and reform. You are self motivated and love hunting down detail, then analysing it and presenting it in a useful form. You can understand organisational documents like annual reports and balance sheets. You can think creatively about how opportunities might fit a bigger strategy. Your written skills are excellent and you can prepare accurate, effective small grant applications.
How to Apply:
Send your CV, and a cover letter up to one A4 page outlining one challenge and one opportunity facing NDIS or Aged Care providers, and tell us what you would look for in a partner organisation to help Your Side meet those challenges.
Email your application to firstname.lastname@example.org .
