The Role

We're looking for a passionate, motivated and commercially-minded Digital Advertising and Programmatic Operations Manager tasked with ensuring the highest level of service and delivery in the fulfilment of digital advertising campaigns and the management of our programmatic advertising and datasets for monetisation. 

You will be an integral part of our Starts at 60 Leadership team, working with peers to develop and deliver high-quality media and advertising products that engage our users and serve our clients. You will have the opportunity to work with new and interesting technologies such as our CDP and owned media stack, and lead the way in growing our ad-tech efficiently to improve yield. Your work will directly affect hundreds of thousands of Australians.

This role is accountable for:

·   Inventory / Yield Management

Implementing and managing Starts at 60’s digital inventory and yield management processes and systems. 

  • Digital Advertising and Programmatic Operational BAU

Taking day-to-day operational responsibility around monetisation and delivery of the business’ digital advertising products, hands-on booking and managing our bookings to fulfil on client sales and PMPs. You are our core advertising operations resource.  ·

  • Enhance advertising monetisation strategies

Driving the continued monetisation of advertising through the development and implementation of the on-site advertising strategy. 

  • Off-the-Shelf Data Segment Set-up and Management

Managing the day-to-day framework of our data segments,  you will understand the development and operations of segments and how they work in advertising booking and optimisation of our CDP.  

  • Digital Revenue-Related Initiatives

Providing thought leadership on advertising and advertising related projects, including proactive recommendations, insights and analysis on emerging ad-tech platforms, partnerships and best practices. 


Technical Qualifications: 


  • 5+ years’ experience as Advertising Operations/Campaign Manager/Team Manager within a digital media agency, publisher or similar. 

  • 3+ years’ experience in a commercial media environment.

  • Experience managing and overseeing advertising operations via Ad Manager (Doubleclick For Publishers) and third-party ad servers, as well as across the Programmatic partners Rubicon, Appnexus, Google AdExchange, Index Exchange, Pubmatic and others. 

  • Expertise in digital campaign management and ad server delivery, specifically with respect to the intricacies of digital advertising and reporting.

  • Detailed understanding of best-practice processes and practices with respect to ad serving, analytics and optimisation.

  • Experience in mid/senior-level internal/external stakeholder relationships in the digital media sector.

  • Knowledge of header bidding and upcoming programmatic changes.  

  • Experience with research-related tools such as Google Analytics, Roy Morgan and Nielsen



  • Experience with all market-leading/industry standard ad-tech

  • Experience with integrating adservers with client tools such as Google Analytics, etc.

  • Experienced with container tag solutions, including Google Tag Manager

  • Experience with email marketing systems

  • Proficient in MS/Google Office Suite – Word, Exce, Powerpoint

  • Proficient in Google Data Studio or similar business intelligence tools'

  • Experience with CDP (Lytics, Segment or similar)

  • Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or Business
