Laboratory Technician (Biology) - Fyshwick ACT

About the Position
The Fyshwick, ACT Water Resources Group laboratory is seeking a full time Laboratory Technician - Biology.
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Sample Preparation.
  • Analysis of algae and chlorophylls in water.
  • Interpretation and Result entry into LIMS.
  • Ensuring that the quality of work is maintained in accordance with QWIs.
  • Meeting turn-around requirements.
  • Adhering to all safety requirements.
About you
The ideal candidate would have the following attributes:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Light Microscopy experience.
  • Algal identification, willing to learn and identify different algal genera microscopically.
  • Knowledge of the Water Analyses and Industry.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Works effectively independently and in a team environment.
  • Shows attention to detail.
  • A safety focus.
