Catering Industries Pty Ltd is a leading provider of contracted hospitality services (catering, cleaning and laundry) to Australia's health and aged care, education, government, corporate and resources sector.  We currently employ over 1100 personnel engaged in various operations nationally.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated, highly experienced, trade qualified chef to manage the entire food services operation and kitchen team at our client's aged care facility in Leeton, NSW.

​​​​​​Key attributes and responsibilities:

  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role - aged care experience a huge benefit.

  • Commercial cookery background or Hospitality Industry Qualification.
  • Demonstrated and proven budget and cost management experience.
  • High level of QA, WH&S, HACCP and Food Safety knowledge.
  • Previous experience in the design and implementation of nutritionally adequate and appropriate menus specific to Aged Care       
  • An understanding of the Aged Care legislation and Accreditation standards
  • Empathy towards residents, staff and clients.
  • Ability to lead a busy kitchen in a medium - large sized facility.
  • Produce high quality, nutritious and well presented meals in line with aged care food service guidelines.
  • Be responsible for rostering and day to day supervision/management of team members.
  • Menu design and implementation and computer literacy
  • Excellent client liaison skills.
  • Must have own transport.

Hours of Employment:

  • 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri).
  • Shift details will be discussed with shortlisted applicants.
