Public Programs and Learning Officer - Bendigo Art Gallery

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and dedicated Public Programs and Learning Officer to join the team at Bendigo Art Gallery, one of the largest regional galleries in Australia.

As Public Programs and Learning Officer, you will develop, manage and deliver public program events and learning and assist in their promotion. You will also develop and source program content and collaborate with external individuals and organisations to create a program of exhibition-related events and activities.

The position leads the education team in the development and roll out of learning programs for schools and learning institutions in alignment with the Victorian curriculum.

Your leadership skills will utilised for the recruitment, coordination, training and management of the learning attendants, voluntary guides and as being the key liaison for the Friends of the Bendigo Art Gallery.

You will hold a Fine Arts or Education degree or diploma and/or have relevant experience within an art gallery or museum. You will have demonstrated experience of program delivery including the ability to work independently and with a team to deliver projects on time and within budget, and be familiar with event management and administration.

Your excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills will be well regarded for this exciting and varied position.
