DIRECTOR SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

Our client, the Construction Training Fund (CTF) has a key strategic goal of increasing the number of skilled workers in the Western Australian building and construction industry.

The Fund uses resources derived from a training levy on construction projects to support training and employment programs within the industry. Since its inception, the CTF has supported the training and employment of more than 93,000 apprentices and trainees and has helped over 487,000 industry workers to upgrade their skills.

With the pending retirement of its current Director Skills Development, the CTF now seeks to appoint a new person to this key leadership position.

Reporting to CTF’s Executive Director, the Director Skills Development will direct the delivery of the CTF’s skills advisory services to ensure that they meet the contracted outcomes established by both the State Training Board and the Department of Training and Workforce Development.  This role will also be responsible for providing strategic leadership and policy advice to the Building & Construction Industry Training (BCIT) Board.

We seek a results driven individual who has initiative and the capacity to build and maintain respected relationships across the construction industry and its key stakeholders, for this key role.  Experience working in a leadership position in a VET education and training environment focused on the building and construction industry is seen as an essential requirement for this role.

Lester Blades – Executive Search & Board Advisory, has been retained to assist CTF with this executive recruitment process.  An Information Pack for this role may be obtained by emailing Merridi Clift merridi@lesterblades.com.au (please quote Reference LB302314). Applications may be made in Word format to applications@lesterblades.com.au. Applications close 5.00pm Monday 26 August 2019.  Telephone enquiries may be made to Tony Lester on 08 9221 0744.
