Junior Accountant

Play a lead role in providing commercial insight and advice to facilitate improved financial and business decisions

Description

  • Accurate and timely completion of month-end processes including; processing of journals and the finalisation of month-end reports and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting with month-end close accountable for the reliability of assigned month-end P&L and balance sheet balances
  • Supporting weekly forecasting and reporting requirements to enable further decision making capability
  • Communication of financial results to internal stakeholders with recommendations and commentary
  • Facilitate and support process improvement within all financial accounting controls and procedures
  • Assist other members of the Finance team as appropriate and directed with the resolution of issues or completion of deliverables

Profile

  • Bachelor degree in Business / Accounting / Finance with 1 to 2 years’ experience - Graduates also considered and encouraged to apply
  • Adaptable to change and innovative in nature
  • Highly autonomous and pro-active coupled with excellent time management
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills, including an ability to engage, understand, interpret and manage varying levels of business stakeholders
  • Ability to work in an agile and dynamic environment in tune with expectations of the business
  • Willingness to support continuous improvement initiatives in key financial reporting processes
