Assistant Accountant

  • Leading ASX listed Health Care Company
  • Based in St Leonards next to train and transport hub
  • 8 month maximum term contract

Within our Group Business Services division there is a current requirement for a Financial Accountant to join our team. 
 
Responsibilities for this role will include:
  • Liaise with Medical/Dental centres regarding daily banking
  • Match payments and receipts in our SAP ledger
  • Investigate discrepancies in banking and petty cash
  • Liaise with banks
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Post journals
  • Other duties as required, but it would be focused on Medical/Dental centres and month-end reconciliations.
Skills and experience required for this role include:
  • CPA part qualified or working towards qualification. Prior experience with month-end close is ideal.
  • Strong communication & analytical skills.
  • Results and customer focused with an ability to manage deadlines.
  • Independent thinker who thrives in a challenging and team orientated work environment.
  • Proactive and shows initiative – problem solver and not afraid to challenge convention in order to improve a process.
  • Experience with SAP and BPC preferred with medium to advanced excel skills.
