TEAM

• Reporting to the General Counsel you will be a key member of a high performing team that includes Corporate Affairs, Government Relations, Legal & Regulatory Affairs and Compliance

JOB

• Develop and deliver Sportsbet’s corporate communications strategy supporting overall business objectives as well as communications with respect to regulatory, responsible gambling, corporate responsibility, wider industry and other matters.
• Develop strategic organisational responses to critical situations for SB or in the market place.
• Influence key decision makers (e.g. Federal and State Governments, Sport and Racing Bodies, Internal stakeholders etc).
• Lead Sportsbet’s non-consumer media engagement, and drive positive corporate media for Sportsbet, and the industry in conjunction with Responsible Wagering Australia
• Lead the strategic direction of the company’s Corporate Responsibility programme by providing effective management in the development, implementation and maintenance of policies and processes, boosting public image and promoting diversity within the organisation.
• Continue to build Sportsbet’s position at the forefront of the industry regarding responsible gambling, working collaboratively with Head of Responsible Gambling and Commercial Operations

IS THIS ROLE FOR ME?

• Strong understanding of Corporate affairs, policy and regulatory processes, who can engage at high levels with government, parliamentary and industry stakeholders on complex regulatory matters
• Strong interpersonal skills and the self-assuredness to deal with all levels of the business and external contacts
• Strong experience in Corporate Affairs within a complex, regulated environment.
• An understanding of and demonstrable commitment enhancing a culture of Responsible Gambling
