About Us

WA Primary Health Alliance (WAPHA) is the peak planning and commissioning body for primary health care services in Western Australia (WA).

We oversee the strategic commissioning functions WA's three Primary Health Networks: Perth North, Perth South and Country WA.

WAPHA's primary objective is to improve health outcomes and patient experiences through the commissioning of appropriate services where they are most needed.

The role

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and highly motivated professional who is passionate about supporting the planning, development, coordination, monitoring and implementation of targeted Aboriginal primary health and social care initiatives.

As a Project Coordinator you will be assisting in the project management deliverables within key Aboriginal health projects. The role will require liaison across both internal and external stakeholders working collaboratively with both your team, other teams across WAPHA and external stakeholders in a transparent manner to achieve identified outcomes. Note that some travel and out of hours work may be required.

You will be an integral member of the WAPHA Aboriginal health team and collaborate across the three WA PHNs internally and external to WAPHA either in the design and/or development/delivery of projects and other activity relating to Aboriginal health.

This is a fixed term role with potential for flexible/part-time options; and will involve project management and supporting identified projects predominately in Aboriginal health, to ensure consultation and involvement of appropriate stakeholders is undertaken, and allocated projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role will suit those experienced within project or contract management combined with well-developed leadership and stakeholder management skills.

About you

The successful candidate will meet the following selection criteria:

  • Project management skills and experience;
  • Knowledge and experience within Aboriginal health care;
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills in order to develop strategies, ideas and opportunities for resolving issues;
  • High level organisational and administrative capabilities;
  • Change management experience, including the ability to manage others through the change process is desirable;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and presentation skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with a demonstrated report writing ability; 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • High level of computer literacy included proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft BI;
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
