Finance Business Partner

Genuine Business partnering model within a large FP&A team

One of Australia’s largest Community Service Organisations

Salary packaging, and competitive sector remuneration

Ongoing | Full Time | Melb Metropolitan based

In 2017 we began a unique journey to merge 22 Community Service organisations and 2 Uniting Church business units to form Uniting (Victoria and Tasmania) Ltd.  The complexity associated with such a merger and the diversity of our amalgamated services drives the ongoing need for skill, agility and progressive thinking in our support service functions including our finance function.

About the opportunity

We have a vacancy in our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team for a Divisional Finance Business Partner. Reporting to the Senior Manager, FP&A, this role will lead a small team of Finance Analysts in delivering excellent financial and commercial information and advice to their operating Division. The role works collaboratively both within a large finance team and with operating division stakeholders and makes a material contribution to the achievement of organisational goals.

About you

The successful candidate will be CA/CPA or CIMA qualified with strong experience in a similar Finance Business Partner role in a substantive and complex organisation. You have demonstrated your ability to manage and develop staff effectively and leverage technology in designing and maintaining sustainable financial processes that your non-financial stakeholders can understand and value. You are experienced in navigating complex funding, service and workforce models and you work well within a respectful and fast paced environment. You have well-honed financial modelling and business case development skills.

About Uniting

At Uniting we are passionate about working together to inspire people, enliven communities and confront injustice.

We are proud to have been part of local communities for over 100 years delivering services across Victoria and Tasmania. With a team of 3500+ employees and 2500+ volunteers we provide over 770 programs and services to people of all ages to learn, thrive and enjoy a healthy, happy life. We're there for children, families, people with disability, older people and those experiencing homelessness, mental illness or drug and alcohol addiction.

Uniting is looking for great people who, like us, celebrate diversity and welcome everyone regardless of ethnicity, faith, sexual orientation and gender identity.
