Group Chief Financial Officer

Reporting to the Group CEO, the Group CFO will provide oversight to the key areas of Corporate Shared Services - Finance, IT, Procurement & Assets. With currently over 70 staff within Shared Services supporting 10 Businesses across five States, this is a key position for the Group.

IntoWork Australia is structured as a group of 10 companies with over 750 staff, a budgeted turnover of $160 million and a net asset base of approximately $50 million. The Group CFO will work in an Executive team environment alongside the Group Chief Development Officer and Business Leaders across the group.

The focus of the Group CFO is to lead the professional, flexible delivery of key aspects of Shared Services - meeting the business needs of companies within the Group and striving for the highest quality service delivery at all times. The Group CFO will manage the emerging growth of provision of Shared Services to external clients on a fee for service basis.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead, support and further develop the Shared Services team, including the Executive Managers.
  • Support the Leadership Team in development of tenders, particularly in regards to financial modelling.
  • Participate as part of the Executive in the strategic development of the Group including through potential acquisitions or mergers.    
  • Participate as part of the Executive in developing strategic and operational financial and Shared Services support plans for IntoWork and supporting Business Leaders in the  development of strategic, operational, financial and corporate support plans for businesses.
  • Attend IntoWork Board meetings and subsidiary company Board meetings as required.
  • Prepare the annual budget for IntoWork and oversee the preparation of annual budgets for business entities.
  • Ensure that the IntoWork Group assets and financial integrity are protected through the establishment of effective controls, systems and procedures.
  • Ensure the IntoWork Group’s compliance with contractual, statutory and legislative requirements.

Required Experience

  • An ability to operate in commercial and technical aspects of finance, drive and sustain change and skilled at operating within a fast- paced, high growth organisation.
  • Strong senior management experience in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership skills and a passion to coach team members.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication and ability to deal with senior stakeholders.
  • CA/ CPA qualified.
