Job Description

As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing a range of diverse customers through your ability to build and maintain strong relationships, influence key stakeholders and drive in-store execution.

You will take on this front line Sales role as the face of Kimberly-Clark in the market. We are looking for energetic graduate candidates, preferably with proven sales experience in FMCG. You will bring to this role a hunger for personal development, business results and a personal brand that aligns with our culture. This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager, VIC and will be responsible for CBD South region within Melbourne.

About You:

You will be a recent graduate, early in your career who is keen to learn and be developed into a corporate leader of tomorrow. You are motivated by the idea of taking on new opportunities & challenges with urgency, high energy & enthusiasm. You will champion our One KC Behaviours and KC Values. Key to your success in this role is an interest in Customer Development, Logistics, Communications, Economics or Marketing. You must be driven by problem solving and achieving results. A valid driver’s licence and Australian work rights are mandatory to be considered for this opportunity.

Within your first eighteen months as an Area Sales Manager at Kimberly-Clark, you will:

  • Undergo a comprehensive induction and training program, learning about the company, culture and role
  • Develop your insights and experience into the competitive Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry
  • Undergo world class KC internal sales training to build on your influence and negotiation skills
  • Be given the tools and opportunity grow your territory, optimise distribution and develop strong customer relationships
  • Begin preparing for future roles through completing development projects in both peer group teams and individually

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain superior relationships through effective and efficient work practices with our key Grocery customers within the designated territory through excellent quality calls.
  • Develop and implement successful customer specific business plans to ensure sales and share targets are met for all product categories within budgeted spends
  • Ensure all business dealings are conducted in compliance with the Trade Practices Act and the Company’s Code of Conduct, policies, procedures and internal controls to protect the Company and its assets.
  • Utilise initiative, planning, time management and selling skills to identify opportunities to increase sales and ensure maximum return from your total territory
  • Achieve business objectives through establishing and following safe workplace practices consistent with KCA policies and guidelines
  • Establish and maintain accurate customer records through the use of computer based tools such as iPads and 'STARS'.

Skills & Experience:

  • Recent Graduate from a business related degree preferable
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to plan
  • Proven ability to work alone and unsupervised
  • Highly developed negotiation, communication and presentation skills
  • Superior analytical and financial acumen skills
  • Computer literacy to an intermediate/advanced level
  • Account Management experience is desirable
  • Clean drivers licence

Global VISA and Relocation Specifications:

K-C requires that an employee have authorization to work in the country in which the role is based. In the event an applicant does not have current work authorization, K-C will determine, in its sole discretion, whether to sponsor an individual for work authorization.
