About the role

As an experienced Batching/Mixing Technician, you will need to be able to pre-weigh ingredients and set up, monitor, adjust, operate and troubleshoot the Mixing Plant to achieve planned volumes.

You will also be required to:

  • Perform routine in-process checks during production, i.e. weight control, dye check, salt checks and density testing;
  • Ensure that products and batch changes are correctly managed and authorised;
  • Assist the Process Technicians with the operation of the UHT as required;
  • Meet agreed productivity and waste reduction targets;
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness around the plant.

What we are looking for

  • Minimum 2 - 3 years' experience working within a similar position within the Food/Beverage manufacturing industry;
  • Previous experience in operating mixing equipment is essential;
  • A minimum formal education of High School Certificate, Trade Certificate or equivalent;
  • Relevant technical, diary or science tertiary qualifications is desirable but not essential;
  • Previous experience in operating equipment;
  • Demonstrated experience working with Lean/Six Sigma continuous improvement principles.
