We are trusted advisors who pride ourselves on the ability to build positive and mutually beneficial relationships with our customers by providing a range of financial solutions delivered to the highest standards.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring arrangements on a regular basis to ensure they are being adhered to and follow up as required.
  • Maintaining accurate records of action and arrangements made.
  • Communicating effectively, in writing and orally, and in line with procedures.
  • Deliver excellent internal and external service and promote positive working relationships.

To be successful for this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed negotiation skills with the ability to implement bcu policy and procedures within delegated authority, and subsequently discuss these decisions with management.
  • Sound organisational skills and the ability to deal with tight deadlines and emergent demands associated with a highly variable workload.
  • Comprehensive record keeping practices, including effective computer skills with the ability to manage reporting requirements in line with bcu’s reporting regime.
  • Ability to assist bcu in delivering compliant and streamlined policy and procedures in line with business needs and the legal and regulatory environment.
  • Knowledge of legislation and rules that govern the management of collections (for example, National Credit Code, Bankruptcy Act, Privacy Act, etc).
  • Professional and ethical approach, maintaining strict confidentiality at all times.
  • Cooperative, supportive and productive in their approach.
  • Team player and able to work without close supervision
  • Previous experience in a high volume, call centre environment

Experience in collections and/or credit control would be highly desirable but is not a prerequisite for the role.
