People & Performance Officer, Moranbah

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and self-motivated People & Performance Officer to join our People & Performance team on a permanent full-time basis, based in Moranbah.

The purpose of the People and Performance Officer position is to provide high quality human resource and administration support to the People & Performance Business Partner and Manager. This position will report to and work closely with the People & Performance Business Partner to support management, staff and stakeholders in the area of People & Performance across Isaac Regional Council.

This role is centered around building strong working relationships and to be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Strong administration and recruitment skills;
  • Knowledge of awards, certified agreements and workplace laws;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in the areas of creative problem-solving, conflict resolution and decision- making processes;
  • Strong communication abilities, able to collaborate and be a team player;
  • Ability to handle matters with both confidentiality and sensitivity;
  • Ability to work in a collaborative fast paced team environment;
  • Capability to plan effectively, prioritise and to deliver in a timely and efficient manner;
  • Attention to detail, consistent follow through and reliable documentation skills.

For this position we offer:

  • Salary $66,194.66 - $72,122.22 per annum plus allowances;
  • Nominally 72.5 hours per fortnight;
  • 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading;
  • 12% super (in accordance with policy);
  • RDO’s in accordance with Council policy.
