Finance Officer - Part Time

We are seeking a motivated individual to carry out a range of duties related to assisting the Group Finance Manager in maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and the production of information to stakeholders.

The position is for approximately 15 hours per week on a 12-month contract.   Hours can be spread across 3-5 days of the week.

The main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Weekly reporting
  • Maintain MYOB accounts for subsidiary entities and statutory reporting thereon
  • Maintain Fixed Asset register
  • Assist in month end procedures and reporting
  • Support Loss Prevention investigations
  • Review and identify sales data discrepancies
  • Support as required to other finance team members

To be successful in this position, you must have:

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • The position requires you to develop a complete understanding of the entire sales processing methods and outputs in order to provide support at varying levels, therefore you need to be able to adapt to new concepts, learn quickly, be able to problem solve and have good business judgement
  • Be able to communicate clearly
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks with varying priorities
  • Possess good judgment and strong analytical skills
  • The ability to identify trends and track data
  • Be detail orientated with excellent organisational skills

 

This position does not have a direct career progression within our team; however, we do offer a stable working environment with flexible working conditions for the right candidate.
