Burleigh based cosmetic company requires a highly experienced and reliable Warehouse/Storeperson to join our fast paced, dynamic team. This is a hands on warehouse packing and dispatch management position suited to persons focused in warehousing as a long term career.

 

About the role

 

Duties include

  • Hand picking, packing and dispatching small customer cosmetic orders daily. 

  • Pack pallets and dispatch interstate and international bulk orders monthly or as required. 

  • Manage and maintain packing and dispatch efficiency & accuracy  

  • Check Receivables and put away stock

  • Update & maintain client/courier address details and communicate with Front Office Manager as required. 

  • Liaise with customers and courier's regarding deliveries to ensure a high level of customer and freight service. 

  • Complete end of shift picking replenishment orders to ensure that shelves are well stocked for you and the team at all times. 

  • Ensure product quality control, organization, stock rotation and cleanliness of your pick shelves and work areas are maintained. 

  • Communicate with Inventory Manager to ensure QC standard is maintained. 

  • Assist Inventory Manager with weekly rolling stock take and other store person duties as required. 

  • Document and keep your workplace your procedures up to date.

  • Monitor, grow and supervise casual packer's shifts as required. 

  • Communicate with production, Inventory Manager and Front Office Manager as required to improve and maintain work flow systems.  

  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace, and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures

  • Other tasks as directed

Salary: We pay an above award rate based on years of experience in a similar position and warehouse qualifications. 

No Weekend work

 

Skills and experience

 

  • Minimum - 5+ years  hands on warehouse receival, picking, packing and dispatch management experience. International dispatch experience and advantage but not essential. 

  • Previous high level dispatch experience with Fastway and major couriers services

  • High attention to detail with excellent organizational and office filing skills.

  • High literacy and numeracy skills.

  • Excellent computer skills

  • High level fine motor skills to neatly wrap and pack small cosmetic items

  • Be physically fit and able to climb ladders and lift up to 20kgs when required.  

  • Excellent customer service & inter staff communication skills essential.

  • Must have own transport.

  • Must be available Mon-Fri 9-4pm and available to start the position immediately. There is no weekend work.

Initial engagement will be casual but there is a long term position for the suitable qualified and experienced applicant to join and grow with our team.
