Customer Service Officer

We are Puma Energy International, a rapidly expanding, midstream and downstream oil company operating in over 49 countries across 5 continents.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Customer Service Officer based in our Darwin office.  This is a maternity leave contract position for 6 months for a self-starter, with a collaborative approach, can do attitude and the drive to provide high-quality customer service and support in the coordination of fuel and lubricant deliveries.

You will maintain a high level of accuracy and develop strong business relationships with customers while promoting Puma Australia's range of products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer contact to take orders and schedule delivery dates and times;
  • Maintain customer run sheets including customer order records, notifications of cease deliveries and site hazards;
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of customer delivery locations;
  • Review customer order patterns, identifying and reporting significant changes to ordering frequencies and volumes and recommending appropriate action;
  • Accurate entry and processing of customer sales and transfer orders;
  • Explore solutions for logistical challenges, including review of delivery schedules and routes in conjunction with carriers to enhance trip profitability;
  • Interdepartmental support and leave relief as required.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Puma Australia's range of fuel and lubricants to provide tailored recommendations
  • Active involvement in end of month processes to ensure all scheduled transactions have been processed.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an Administration role/Customer Service role (essential)
  • Exceptional  customer service skills;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, work as part of a team and in a fast paced environment;
  • Proven ability to cope with unexpected changes and produce counteractive measures;
  • Accurate data entry skills;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision;
  • Excellent, interpersonal telephone manner.

You must be legally entitled to work in Australia to accept this position and will be required to show proof of employability with a copy of your Australian visa advising of visa details and entitlements or Australian birth certificate. An Australian visa check will be completed on all successful candidates.
