Information Technology Support Officer


Salary Package: $111,376 per annum

The City of Karratha is offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced and self motivated Information Technology professional to join the friendly Information Technology team.  This position is based in Karratha, offering an attractive salary and a range of other benefits including, but not limited to:

The Information Technology Support Officer is responsible for providing excellent, professional, and responsive Information Technology support services to staff.

The position also assists the Manager Information Technology in the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of Information Technology services.

This position on occasions is required to work outside normal office hours. This will be in accordance with the organisations Enterprise Agreement and on-call procedures.

 

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Tertiary level IT qualification
  • Demonstrated experience in previous IT support service roles
  • Demonstrated level 1 and level 2 IT service and support experience
  • Demonstrated experience configuring and maintaining IT hardware, systems and software in medium sized business to large enterprise environment
  • Developed experience in IT documentation
  • Current national Manual “C” class driver’s licence
  • National (or Federal) Police Certificate (no more than 6 months old)

     

    Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Microsoft SharePoint skills
  • Level 3 IT service desk experience
  • Industry certifications and/or vendor certifications
  • Experience in virtualised server environments
  • Experience in an ITIL environment.
